Claude Jean, Vice President and General Manager
Mr. Jean became Vice-President and General Manager, DALSA Semiconductor Foundry Operations, in 2007. Previously, he was Vice-President and Assistant General Manager from 2004. Mr Jean joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 1989 as an R&D engineer to develop front end processes. He transferred into the production group as a diffusion engineer in 1991. In 1994, he was promoted to the position of coordinator of the front end group and in 1997 he was promoted to the position of Operations Manager responsible for all the production units as well as the Industrial Engineering, Process Integration and Product & Yield Improvement groups. Mr. Jean holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physical Science from University of Sherbrooke. He also holds a degree in Microelectronics from University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble (France) and MBA from the University of Sherbrooke.
Richard Dubeau, Vice President of Finance
Mr. Dubeau joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 2003. He became Vice President of Finance in 2005. Prior to joining DALSA , Mr. Dubeau worked 10 years for an international manufacturer of microbiology reagents and instruments. Mr. Dubeau worked 4 years in the USA and 3 years in Europe holding several financial management positions at corporate level and operational level. Mr. Dubeau has a bachelor from the University of Quebec in Montreal. He is a Chartered Accountant(CA) since 1986 and he is a Certified Public Accountant(CPA) since 1996. He is duly registered in the province of Quebec and in the state of Michigan respectively.
Donald Robert, Vice President of Marketing and Sales
Mr. Robert joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 1981. Prior to his promotion to his current position in November 2006, he was Director of Marketing and Sales from October 1999, and head of Zarlink's Waferfab operations in Jarfalla Sweden from early 1998. Prior to that, in 1997, he was assigned Project Manager of the 100mm to 150 mm process conversion. From 1987 to 1997 he held various management positions in Process Engineering and manufacturing at the Bromont foundry. From 1981 to 1987, he was a process engineer, mainly involved in Photolithography and Etch. Mr. Robert has a degree in electronics from Sherbrooke College and a degree in Business Management from University of Sherbrooke.
Luc Ouellet, Eng, Vice President of Technology Development
Mr. Ouellet joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 1987 as a Senior Process Engineer. In 1991 Mr. Ouellet left the foundry to work for Varian Thin Film Systems in Palo Alto as Manager of Semiconductor Process Technology in charge of developing advanced semiconductor processes for Asian device manufacturers. He returned to the foundry in 1993 as Senior Technical Advisor and continued his semiconductor process consultant role for various international companies located in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong-Kong and Singapore from 1993-1996. In 1994, Mr. Ouellet was promoted to Manager of the Interconnect group. In 1995 he was appointed Project Manager for the 150mm Fab conversion project and in 1996 promoted to the position of Director, Technology Development. He became Vice President in 2006. Mr. Ouellet is a prolific inventor with more than 45 granted or pending patents in the fields of CMOS, HV-CMOS/DMOS, MEMS, Photonics and µFluidics and is the author of many publications and international conference papers. Mr. Ouellet graduated in 1982 as Engineering Physicist from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Richard Goulet, Director of Quality & Procurement
Mr. Goulet joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 1982 in the position of Senior Buyer. In 1986, he was promoted to Procurement Supervisor and was responsible for all procurement related activities. In 1994, he was promoted to the position of Quality and Procurement Manager where he assumed additional responsibilities for Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Documentation, Analytical & Reliability Lab and ensuring that the foundry's Quality Management System meets the requirements of ISO9001 and QS9000.
Serge Guay, Director of IS & Human Resources
Mr. Guay joined the foundry in 1979 as an electronic technologist after graduating from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu College. From 1979 to 1989, he has held different engineering positions in quality control, manufacturing and yield improvement. In 1989, he moved to IS as PROMIS specialist. In 1992, he was promoted to IS manager position . In 2002, he completed a MBA from "Université du Québec à Montréal" and was promoted as Director of IS and Human resources.
Marc Faucher, Director of CCD and Development of Components and Products
M.D. Faucher (B.Eng.) joined DALSA Semiconductor's Bromont foundry in 1986. Prior to his promotion to his current position in January 2004, he was senior project manager in charge of the CCD (Charge-Coupled Devices) 0.5 micron technology transfer from a European fab to the DALSA Bromont fab. Prior to that, he was for two years Manager of the Implantation group, and then of the Diffusion group. Before this position, he was for four years Manager of the Process Integration group. Prior to that, he was for four years the project leader for the development of CMOS mixed signal processes for the 1.5 micron and then 0.8 micron generations. During the previous six years, he was process development engineer in the R.D. Advanced Process Design Group, and contributed his expertise in CMOS process integration, in semiconductor device design, simulation and electrical characterization, in ion implantation, in rapid thermal processing and in CMOS transistor reliability. He has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke (Microelectronics option). He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and of the Order of Professional Engineers of Quebec.
